Training of the newly recruited VEOs
(Pre-service training for VEOs) is the mandated function of training of this
Institute. Apart from this the Institute
has been conducting programmes as per the changing needs of various
functionaries and skill development training to SHG/Kudumbasree members. The key areas include (1) Rural Development
and Poverty alleviation programmes (2) Panchayat Raj and Decentralized planning
(3) Local area Development and participatory management (4) Gender justice and
Women empowerment (5) Good Governance (6) Water shed management (7) Computer
training (8) Capacity Building for self help groups, Government Employees,
Elected Members of Panchayathi Raj Institutions
(9) Skill Up gradation for self employment of SHG’s
